Most mornings I look out the window. My place has a beautiful view of the city. I just look out onto the Taban park, the Statue of Liberty on Gellert Hill and check whether the Buda Castle is still there. But of course I always first switch on my phone. Then I check my emails and take a shower.
The jazz, pop and rock’n’roll music of the 1950s and 1960s. It encompasses everything, it is incredibly diverse.
I’m prone to idolising authors. I never simply read a book: I always need to know who wrote it, when, why, how, what the author’s life was like, what age he or she lived in, who their contemporaries were, etc. I always have a current favourite - now it’s a volume of short stories entitled Last Cigarette, Last Judgement by Ferenc Karinthy. I also like to peruse the writings of Albert Goldmann on American music and culture in the 1950s.

Both, but lately mostly the Internet.
I have quite niche tastes. My world is difficult to come by, you need to keep your eyes peeled to find it. There is no single magazine that has it all.
Yellow sunglasses in a violin case – by Esti Kornél.
I never say never – though I could hardly picture myself wearing sandals for example.
Yes.
It’s always what I’m working on at the moment – that’s how I can remain passionate about what I do. Together for universal culture, hooray for 20th-century modernity!
Alexander Rodchenko, Jack Kerouac, István Vas and nobody else...
20th-century modern thinkers and artists, mostly musicians such as Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran and Buddy Holly. They were the revolutionaries of their age.
Do you really want to get me started on this? “Péter Egri: Paraenesis ...” Let’s just skip it.
Sure, all the time. I keep working on them, perfecting them. They either turn out fine or end up in the drawer for good.
